Asiate Mandarin Oriental Hotel
Mandarin Oriental, New York’s signature Restaurant Asiate perches above the city on the hotel’s 35th floor, with breathtaking panoramic views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline from 16-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and Impressive decoration.
I have become a spoiled New Yorker the food is great, not amazing, but great. So come for view and ambiance as they are spectacular and I can highly recommend this restaurant to celebrate an occasion. Decided to celebrate and have my birthday lunch here. Don’t expect to get a window table they are usually reserved for hotel guests!. Even if they remain free the whole time your there which can get frustrating, they do the same in their lounge next door.
I do give them five stars for the view and ambiance. One of the most beautiful views in the city! If you want to have a meal while enjoying the view this is a place to go!. You’ll get great photos and I think best to take them during daylight with the park in the background. At night the interior lights will reflect off the windows the background won’t come out. Huge fan of their “no phones” policy. It’s even written on the menu!. You can choose the three-course or tasting menu. The wine selection is world class. The Souffle is a must.
