The only thing that took me away from my pampered blissful stay at the Burj Al Arab was a Cocktail party and viewing at the Burj Khalifa the world’s tallest building.
I went not just for the breathtaking views but wanted to see the sunset from that height, did not disappoint. So it’s not surprising that the needle-shaped super scraper takes center stage in the famed skyline with millions of visitors and VIPs flocking each year to arguably the most prestigious address in the world.
The tallest man-made structure is the ultimate symbol of glitz, glamour and the over-the-top excess for which the city is known. The Burj Khalifa is twice the height of New York’s Empire State Building and three times as tall as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Thought this was interesting and as to what Architects get their inspirations from. As US architect Adrian Smith, created the Burj Khalifa appearance based on a flower called the Spider Lily (Hymenocallis), which is native to southern states of America, South America and Mexico.
Had to profusely thank my butlers that organized this wonderful experience.
