I was blessed and born not far from this lovely area, and have family in Salerno and small towns nearby, decades ago my cousins took me to this charming town and I love returning and wanted to share its charms.
Vietri sul Mare is a town in the province of Salerno, in the Campania region of southern Italy about three hours from Rome. It is situated just west of Salerno, if coming from north, it’s at the end of the Amalfi Coast. Clinging to a hillside that overlooks the azure Bay of Salerno, and surrounded by scented lemon groves it’s a heavenly slice of Amalfi with a glamorous Riviera appeal stunning views of the breathtaking coastline and a quaint small beach at the bottom of the town.
The Bellissima town of Vietri sul Mare is just a short ride away from Amalfi coast and holds a wealth of ceramic shops and lovely local restaurants I can definitely recommend coming to visit this quaint town if on the coast.
You will find yourself captivated by the colorful, handcrafted ceramics you can meet a lot of the artisans in the town, artisans paint, glaze, and fire each piece by hand. Since the beginning Italian artisans have crafted collections here with the highest quality clays and glazes from the soil of the Italian countryside. each product they create will bring a special taste of Italy to bring to your home.
